Reducing the Negative Effects of Abusive Supervision: A Step towards Organizational Sustainability

This study aims to examine how reduce the influence of abusive supervision on subordinates’ work alienation and psychological well-being (PWB). Integrating perspectives career development resource conservation, subjective job mobility regulatory focus were combined into two-dimensional structures assess their moderating effects relationships. The draws a survey sample 487 employees from manufacturing service industries in China. key findings show that has direct indirect PWB through alienation. Regarding effects, only perceived interorganizational mitigates positive effect Interestingly, three-way interactions involve intraorganizational mobility–prevention or mobility–promotion mitigate negative PWB. From these findings, we discussed implications step towards organizational sustainability.
